Color LED animation displays and devices for Makers, Creatives, and for those who want to give their devices vibrant display capability.
Multiple displays, many uses
Choose a Sparklet display based on your creative or maker needs, pick an all-in-one system or integrate the raw displays into your own designs.
Sparklet All-in-one
Creating an end-end RGB LED display system requires multiple subsystems tied together with feature full and robust firmware. Bypass the soldering iron and dive straight into creating your user scenarios and creative expressions. Compatible with Microsoft Expressive Pixels.
256 RGB LEDs
256 brilliant WS2812-2020 RGB LEDs. These 2mm x 2mm tightly packed sparks of light, provide a dense resolution to visualize recognizable images. This new LED component consumes less than half the power of comparable sized LEDs, extending battery powered scenarios.
Expansion Capabilities
The Sparklet motherboard exposes all the GPIO pins you could possibly want, supporting your own expansion module creation via tidy castellated modules.
Intelligent Power Management
The All-In-One contains a 1000 mAh rechargeable battery good for continuous animation display for over 3 hours. With intelligent power management intermittent display can be extended by that time On vs Off.
32-bit ARM® Cortex-M4 @ 64mHz, 1MB Flash, 256KB RAM, Bluetooth 5, native USB 2.0. Plenty of power to extend and create advanced systems, with great connectivity flexibility whether it be Bluetooth, radio or over USB.
Many ways to trigger
The Sparklet can be activated by a number of external triggers, USB, Bluetooth connection, Bluetooth advertising beacons, GPIO triggers. Mobile app early ’21.
Programmable
The Sparklet can be programmed using the Nordic SDK, Arduino, or MakeCode (coming soon)
Open Source
All aspects of the Sparklet All-In-One are open sourced, hardware, software and enclosure.
